Opening Ceremony of the Spring Semester 2017 for

International Students of Silla University

 Silla University held the Opening Ceremony of the Spring Semester 2017 for international students, on March 16th, at 4th Floor Auditorium of Marin Bio Center. The ceremony was attended by 286 freshmen students from 26 countries.

The event had started with the student admission oath, welcome speech by President Park Tae Hak, and was followed by culture performance. The overall number of international students in Silla University has grown to 773 students from 32 countries.

Meanwhile, Silla University has  been recently selected as  a university certified by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Research Foundation. With this certification, Silla will be awarded with some benefits for a total period of three years from March  2017 to February 2020. The university will get some certain advantages that include, but will not be limited to the areas of GKS (government scholarship) student selection; Financial support for international students granted by the Government; Simplification of the procedures for visa issuance; Special privilege for participation in study abroad fairs, etc.
