Call for Applications for 2017 KGSP for Graduate Degrees

 

Silla University, as one of the 65 Korean Universities designated by NIIED, is pleased to announce its call for applications for 2017 Korean Government Scholarship Program for International Students for Graduate Degrees (via Silla University track).

 

Application Deadline: March 24, 2017

 

KGSP Information is as follows:

  •  
  • Scholarship Period:
  1. Master’s Degree Program: 3 Years (September 1, 2017 – August 31, 2020)
  • 1 Year Korean Language Program
  • 2 Year Degree Program
  1. Doctoral Degree Program: 4 Years (September 1, 2017 – August 31, 2021)
  • 1 Year Korean Language Program
  • 3 Year Degree Program
  1. Research Program: 6 Months (September 1, 2017 – February 28, 2018)
  •  
  • Scholarship Benefits:
  •  ✔ Airfare- Return flight: an economy class flight ticket from Korea to KGSP scholar’s home country
  • - Entry to Korea: an economy class flight ticket to Korea
  •  ✔ Settlement Allowance: 200,000 KRW
  •  ✔ Monthly Allowance- Research Program: 1,500,000 KRW
  • - Degree Program (Master’s or Doctoral): 900,000 KRW
  •  ✔ Research Allowance
  •  ✔ Language Training Fees: Fully covered
  •  ✔ Degree Tuition: Fully covered

- The KGSP scholars are waived from the admission fees of the universities.

  • - Dissertation Printing Fee Reimbursement

- The actual cost of printing as written on the receipt will be reimbursed.

  •  ✔ Medical Insurance: 20,000 KRW per month
  •  ✔ Korean Proficiency Grants: 100,000 KRW per month

- This special funding is available for KGSP scholars with levels 5 and 6 on TOPIK.

  •  ✔ Scholarship Completion Grants: 200,000 KRW

- It is offered for the KGSP scholars who return to their home countries after completing their degree

coursework under the scholarship.

- It is not offered for the KGSP scholars who decide to stay in Korea after the completion of their degree

coursework.

2017.03.31.                       Announcement of the 1st round of selection results

2017.04.07.                      Silla University forward successful applications to NIIED

2017.04.20. - 04.21        2nd round of selection by selection committee at NIIED

2017.05.02                       Announcement of the 2nd round of selection results

Only hard original documents are accepted. (NO copies, faxes or scans will be accepted). Full Application Package should be mailed to the following address:
